ADVERTISING
 AT THE SERVICE OF ART

Since its inception, Publicité Sauvage's mission has been to provide a platform for Montreal artists to bring culture to life on the city's walls. Today, this mission remains at the heart of our work.

Publicité Sauvage promotes culture through affordable and efficient posting and distribution networks. We also serve commercial and corporate clients, but never lose sight of our priority: being an ally of culture in Montreal.

Even though our company has grown over the years, we have always remained faithful to the cultural community and, above all, we have always retained our rebellious spirit.

ALLIES OF CULTURE
SINCE 1980

--

Publicité Sauvage allows emerging creators to promote their art, regardless of their popularity or means.

Urban posters are a springboard for the artists of tomorrow.

Baudoin Wart Publicité Sauvage

word from the president

"The mission of Publicité Sauvage was born from a very down-to-earth reality, that of the artist wanting to be seen, to make themselves known and of organizations that were seeking to survive as a cultural enterprise. Being myself a representative of the artistic and cultural life of our beautiful metropolis, I had the desire to build a space of visibility accessible to all.

It was with my conviction and courage as a young artist fresh out of university that I began to cover the city with the colors of art and culture. Being young, intrepid and illegal in front of the city, and wanting to give maximum visibility to the cultural sector, all the street furniture was an excuse to display. However, a regulation existed since 1878, preventing any possibility of displaying in the street.

During this hectic period, only one concern mattered: providing maximum visibility at the lowest possible cost.

After playing cat and mouse with public authorities for more than 12 years, I mobilized my efforts with the cultural sector and together, in 1992, we presented a draft regulatory change for the legalization of wild advertising. It was in 1994 that we obtained the right to work legally on construction site hoardings.

Against all odds, Publicité Sauvage has been able to maintain increased, effective, relevant and sought-after visibility throughout its 30 years of cultural activities, allowing organizations, independent artists, actors, comedians, musicians, directors, filmmakers and dancers to be seen and known in the advertising jungle while beautifying the urban environment through the wonderful contribution of the artistic creation of young poster artists from all backgrounds.
